Sara A. Harvilla, 82, a lifelong resident of Coaldale, died Thursday in Weatherly. She was the widow of Joseph A. Harvilla, who died in 1976. Prior to retiring, she had been employed in the garment industry, last working at Wargo's Factory in Coaldale. Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late Arnold and Sarah (Mantz) Watkins. She was a member of First Congregational Church, Coaldale, a former member of the church board and graduated from the former Coaldale High School in 1946. Surviving are two sons, John T. of Coaldale and Joseph A. and his wife, Roxanne, of Tamaqua; one grandchild; a brother, Harold Watkins and his wife, Dottie, of Seek; and a sister, Mary Fritz of Allentown. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Noah and Arnold Lynwood Watkins. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, First Congregational Church, Coaldale, with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Benack officiating. Interment, SS. Cyril and Methodius Parish Cemetery, Nesquehoning. Call 7-9 p.m. Sunday, August M. Gulla Funeral Home, 130 E. Ridge St., Coaldale, or 10-11 a.m. Monday in the church.
