Mary C. (Mikulas) Sharpe |

Mary C. Sharpe, 87, of Maple Shade Meadows, Nesquehoning, formerly of Coaldale, died Sunday in Coaldale. She was the widow of Bernard J. Sharpe, who died in 2007.

Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late John and Frances (Serina) Mikulas.

She was a member of the former SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, Coaldale, and the Daughters of Mary.

A 1941 graduate of the former Coaldale High School, she was also a member of the Panther Valley Golden Agers.

Surviving are a son, Bernard J. and his wife, Lynn, of Lake Hauto; a daughter, Frances Hallman of Lehighton; a brother, Joseph Mikulas of Babylon, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Dr. Erin Sabol, wife of Dr. Mike Sabol of Philadelphia, Ryan Sharpe of Lansford and Jared Schnell of Philadelphia.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, twin Ann Hertlin and Catherine Kohl.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m., Friday, St. Katherine Drexel RC Church, Lansford, with the Rev. Kenneth Medve officiating. Interment, SS. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery, Nesquehoning.
