Biography

Gloria Boyle, 85, of Coaldale, PA died on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 in Coaldale. She was the widow of James Boyle, Sr. Born in Coaldale on February 7, 1926, Gloria was a daughter of the late Jacob and Mary A. (nee Pascoe) Jones. A graduate of the former Coaldale High School, she was a member of the First Congregational Church, Coaldale where she was a member of the Women's Class. Gloria also was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving her are daughters, Maryalice Lisella and her husband, Christian of Reading, PA and Jean Couser of Bradenton, FL; sons, William Boyle of Coaldale, David Boyle, Sr. and his wife, Marie of Coaldale, and James Boyle, Jr. and his wife, Stacey of Summit Hill, PA; grandchildren, Charles Couser, David Boyle, Jr., Andrew Boyle, Christina Lisella, Meghan Boyle, Patrick Boyle and Jacob Boyle, and a sister, Thelma Martinec of Coaldale. A sister, Mary Melley and brothers, William, Frank, Theodore, Jake, and David Jones preceeded her in death. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, October 24 in First Congregational Church, Ruddle Street, Coaldale with The Rev. Dr. Wayne Benack officiating. Interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Tamaqua, PA will follow. Call 6-8 PM, Sunday at the Gulla Funeral Home, 130 E. Ridge St., Coaldale and 10-11 AM, Monday at First Congregational Church.
