Mary J. (Blasko) Genits (99) of 143 E. Earley Ave., Coaldale, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at St. Luke's Miner Memorial Hospital Geriatric Center in Coaldale. She was the wife of the late John Genits, who passed away in 1984.

Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late Teophil and Rosalie (Kollar) Blasko.

She worked for the former Kiddie Kloes Garment Factory and Rosenau Brothers Garment Factory, both of Lansford, and for the Tamaqua Shirt Factory.

Mary was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church in Tamaqua.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers, John Blasko and Frank Blasko; and sisters, Mildred Warcholak, Agnes Gilberry, Helen Blasko, Cathryn Spooner, Julia Blasko, and Ann Genits.

Service: Funeral service on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. from the Skrabak-Parambo Funeral Home, 210 E. Bertsch St., Lansford; followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. from Ss. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, Tamaqua. Interment will follow at Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown. Call Saturday from 9-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
