Mildred B. (Yurchak) Flyzik

Mildred B. Flyzik, 83, of West High Street, Coaldale, died Thursday in her residence. She was the widow of Charles W. Bottomley and Edward J. Flyzik.
Prior to retiring, she had been employed as a revenue agent for the former Coaldale State General Hospital and the Miners Memorial Center, Coaldale.
Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Bortnick) Yurchak.
She was a member of First Congregational Church, Coaldale.
A 1947 graduate of the former Coaldale High School, she was president of the Coaldale Hospital Auxiliary, President of C.H.O.S.E., of Coaldale, secretary/treasurer of the Coaldale World War Memorial Committee and was a member of various other organizathions.
Surviving are three daughters, Joanne, wife of Robert Melloy, with whom she resided, Laura Lee Zellner and Sandra Richards, both of Coaldale; one brother, John Yurchak and his wife, Linda, of Lancaster; two sisters, Irene, wife of Clifford MacDonald of Fishers, Ind., and Marion Janniche of Chestertwo grandchildren, Ashton Miller of Coaldale and Robert Melloy II of Cypress, Tex., and his wife, Kathy; one great granddaughter, Kylie Melloy; numerous nieces and nephews.
Service: 11 a.m., Monday, Gulla Funeral Home, 130 E. Ridge St., Coaldale, with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Benack officiating. Interment, private, at the convenience of the family.
