Joseph Scarloss, 83, of Wyomissing, died Saturday, May 28, in Manor Care, Sinking Spring. He was the husband of Nancy (Trate) Scarloss.

Born in Coaldale, he was a son of the late Mark and Martha Scarloss.

A 1945 graduate of the former Coaldale High School, he was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Surviving in addition to his widow are a son Mark in New Jersey; a daughter, Beth L. Ming in Kansas; two sisters, Stephanie Kasales of State College and Marie Sinnott in New Jersey; and a grandson.
