Blake H. Butts, 48, of Coaldale, died Saturday, June 2, 2012, in Tamaqua.
A 1981 Tamaqua High School graduate, Blake matriculated to Penn State University, earning a B.S. in Business Administration. In addition he completed technical training at W.T.T.I. of Allentown, receiving his welders certificate.
Upon graduation he resided in the Mechanicsville area for over 10 years, having worked for P.I.E, and Old Dominion Trucking Co.'s in management. Returning home, Blake worked for Dana Corp of Reading, and Precisionaire of Auburn, and last worked at Dial Corp. of Hazleton.
Blake was a member of the First Congregational Church of Coaldale, and a social member of the Russian Club of Coaldale.
Born in Allentown, he was the son of Lois (Harvey) Butts - Rilo, of Lake Hauto, and the late Robert W. Butts.
He is also survived by his two sisters, Randee (Butts) Knipper, and Blythe (Butts) Sherry, and her husband, Thomas, both of Coaldale; niece, Chelsea; nephew, Robert; and step-father, Joseph J. Rilo
Service: Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home Inc., 655 E. Broad St., Tamaqua. Friends will be received Wedneday, June 6, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
