Jeanette A. (Piech) Kusko, 74, of 80 Rhume St., Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest Friday, June 8, in her residence. She was the wife of Edward G. Kusko. They celebrated their 49th Wedding Anniversary on Oct. 20 of last year.
Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Catherine (Phillips) Piech.
Jeanette was employed as a sewing machine operator for the former Wargo's Factory in Coaldale.
She was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church Nesquehoning where she was very active in all church activities. She was also part of St. Mary's baking crew.
Surviving along with her husband is a son Edward G. Jr. and a daughter Monica Young both of Nesquehoning; sisters Helen Petrash of Jim Thorpe, Ann Donaldson of California, Elizabeth Whildin of Summit Hill, Grace Kennedy of Summit Hill and Gloria Polansky of Lehighton; three grandchildren Brandon Kusko, Zevvin Young and Autumn Young; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by brothers Michael, Joseph and Harry and sisters Dorothy, Catherine, Rose and Margaret.
Services: A Panachida Service will be held Monday June 11, at 10:30 a.m. in the Joseph S. Blazosky Funeral Home 81 E. Catawissa St. Nesquehoning followed by a Divine Liturgy with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Nesquehoning with Father Vasyl Chepelskyy officiating. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery. Call Monday 9:30 a.m. until time of services in the funeral home. Donations in her name can be made to the church c/o 116 E. Bertsch St. Lansford PA 18232. The Joseph S. Blazosky Funeral Home has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
