James J. Price

James J. "Jim" Price, 78, of Danville, died Thursday in Danville.

Prior to retiring, he had been employed by Pabst Brewery in Fogelsville.

Born in Coaldale, he was a son of the late Jerry and Florence (Boyle) Price.

He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Coaldale, and had a great love of the Blessed Mother.

A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he was a graduate of the former Coaldale High School.

A life member of the Coaldale American Legion, he was a huge fan of Notre Dame and the Green Bay Packers.

The last immediate member of his family, he is survived by a friend/caregiver, Jeanie Downey of Danville.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Marie A. Price, who died in July of 2008.

Service: 11 a.m., Monday, Zizelmann-Roche Funeral Home, 500 E. Broad St., Tamaqua. Interment, private. Call 10-11 a.m., Monday. Online condolences at www.zrgfuneralhomes.com.
