Lorraine (Gladus) Adams

Lorraine G. Adams ACSW, of Hacketstown, N.J., passed away Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, in her home with her loving husband, Teddy Adams and family at her bedside. Teddy and Lorraine were married 53 years this past November.

Born Oct. 9, 1932, in Shenandoah, Pa., a daughter of the late Stanley and Ann (Novitski) Gladus.

Lorraine was a graduate of Coaldale High School class 1950 and then married Teddy.

She was a homemaker and later in life went back to school at Rutgers University and earned her Masters degree as a clinical social worker and did her under graduate work at Penn State. She then worked with C.O.P.E. in Montclair, N.J., as a clinical social worker. She was also a member of the National Association of Social Workers National chapter and New Jersey chaper.

Surviving in addition to her husbdand is a son, Taylor Adams and a daughter Lorraine Adams, both living in the upper east side of Manhattan, N.Y.; and a granddaughter, Zoe Adams, also in Manhattan.

Service: At 10:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at the David J. Stianche Funeral Home, 123 Center St., Jim Thorpe, followed by Mass of Christian Burial in St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, the former St. Michael's, Lansford, at 11 a.m. Interment, in Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown, Tamaqua R.2. Call Friday, 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home; and again Saturday, 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
