Survivors: Robert will be lovingly remembered by his family, sons, Robert H. Griffiths Jr. and his wife, Kathryn, of Emmaus, Joseph J. Griffiths and his wife, Karen, of Zionsville; daughters, Suzanne, wife of Dimitri Diamandopoulos, of Hanover Township and Helen J., wife of Howard Schwartz of Pinehurst, N.C.; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his best friend, Mary Legrado. He was preceded in death by his brother and three sisters. Services: The family will receive friends on Friday February 6, 2009 from 9-10 a.m. in Church of the Assumption B.V.M. Colesville, 4101 Old Bethlehem Pike, Bethlehem, 18015. Mass of Christian Burial to immediately follow at 10 a.m. in the church. Interment will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Arrangements are being handled by Connell Funeral Home Inc., Bethlehem. Robert H. Griffiths, 91, of Center Valley, died Tuesday, February 3, 2009 in Lehigh Valley Hospital. Born December 14, 1917 in Coaldale, he was the son of the late Leroy and Irene (Stout) Griffiths. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne (Kulick) Griffiths, in 1995. He was a graduate of Coaldale High School and in 1952 graduated from Moravian College. Robert retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. in 1983 after 43 years of service as a millwright in the blast furnace department. He was a member of Church of the Assumption B.V.M., Colesville. Robert enjoyed spending time at his second home in Canada. He shared his love of the outdoors by coordinating canoeing trips in the northern woods into Canada for local Boy Scouts. Robert was known by many of these scouts as Mr. G.
