John G. Kondertavage John G. Kondertavage, 66, died Sunday, Feb. 22, in the Chestnut Hill Health Systems, Philadelphia, after a long illness. He was a son of Josephine (Bennis) Kondertavage of Coaldale and the late John P. Kondertavage. Before retiring to northeast Pa., he resided in Hamilton Township and Ocean City, both in New Jersey. He attended Farliegh and Rutgers universities. He was employed for many years by the Stauffer and Kalex Chemical Companies, Yardville, N.J., as a purchasing agent and then as a material control manager. He was a member of the National Guard, Mercer County, N.J., Purchasing Agents Club, Cream Ridge Golf League and Robbinsville Country Inn Dart League. He was a parishioner of St. Raphael Parish, Hamilton Township. Surviving in addition to his mother are his former wife of 30 years, Elizabeth Homa of Nesquehoning; two daughters, Cortney, wife of Michael Balrtush of Jenkintown, Pa., and Carre, wife of Shaun McConnon of Nesquehoning; a brother Anthony, and his wife, Grace, of Lansford; two sisters, Debra, wife of Robert Demyanovich of Coaldale, and Michelle, wife of Michael Kalinak of Whitehall; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Service: Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Nesquehoning, with the Rev. Anthony M. Drounchek officiating.
