Helen E. Tenetylo
Mrs. Helen M. Tentylo, 82, of East Phillips Street, Coaldale, died Sunday, Dec. 27, in Salisbury Township. She was the wife of Steve Tentylo. They were married for 58 years. Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Firkal) Pavlik. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, Lansford. A 1944 graduate of the former Coaldale High School, she attended the former Allentown Business School. The deceased auditioned for the Ed Sullivan Show in the 1940s. Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Steven M. Tentylo, and his wife, Machel, of Coaldale; two daughters, Susan, wife of Steve Fegley of Hometown, and Ann Tentylo Krajcir of Coaldale; and six grandchildren, Steven M. Tentylo III, Amy Tentylo, Joseph Earley, Ellen Krajcir, Robin Krajcir and Jacob Fegley. She was also preceded in death by a brother Michael. Biography Helen M. Tenetylo, 82, of East Phillips Street, Coaldale, PA died on Sunday, December 27, 2009 in Salisbury Township, PA. She was the wife of Steve Tenetylo to whom she had been 58 years. Born in Coaldale on March 1, 1927, Helen was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (nee Firkal) Pavlik. A 1944 graduate of the former Coaldale High School, she also attended Allentown Business School for 2 years. A singer, Helen auditioned for the Ed Sullivan Show in the 1940s. In addition to her husband, Steve, she is survived by a son Steven M. Tentylo and his wife, Machel of Coaldale; daughters, Susan Fegley and her husband, Steve of Hometown, PA and Ann Tentylo Krajcir of Coaldale; and grandchildren, Steven M. Tentylo, III, Amy Tentylo; Joseph Earley; Ellen Krajcir; Robin Krajcir; and Jacob Fegley. She was also predeceased by a brother, Michael Pavlik. The Office of Christian Burial is being held at 11 AM, Thursday, December 31 in St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, East Bertsch Street, Lansford with The Rev. Ron Hatton officiating.
