William T. Shanosky

William T. Shanosky, 86, of 1761 Mahoning Drive West, Lehighton, passed away Aug. 15, 2013, at his residence. He was the husband of Joanne E. Moyer Shanosky. They were married for 26 years last Nov. 11, 2012. He was formerly married to the late Elizabeth Jubick Shanosky. Born in Coaldale, he was a son of the late Thomas and Catherine Soboleski Shanosky. He served our country with the US Army. Prior to his retirement, he was a maintenance worker/forklift operator for The Tarkett Co. in Fullerton, Pa. He was a member of SS Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church in Lehighton and in his spare time, he enjoyed watching The Philadelphia Eagles and Penn State Football teams play football, and also spending time with his family. Surviving in addition to his wife, Joanne, is a daughter, Diane, wife of Bruce Perbetsky of Andreas, Pa., a son, Thomas Shanosky and his wife, Sue, of Boca Raton, Florida, two stepdaughters, Jacqueline, wife of David Adler of San Diego, Ca.; Anne E. Fetscher of Oceanside, Ca.; one grandson, Matthew Shanosky and his wife Tracie, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Steffie, Jay, Vick, and three brothers, Stanley, Leo, and Joe. Services: A memorial mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 10 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, 242 North Third St., Lehigh-ton with the Rev. Michael E. Ahrensfield officiating. Interment will follow the services in St. Joseph Catholic cemetery, East White Bear Drive, Bloomingdale. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the church at 18235 or a charity of one's choice .
