Josephine A. Stianche

Josephine A. (Gregus) Stianche, 88, formerly of Tamaqua, entered into eternal rest Friday, Sept. 2, 2016, in the Weatherwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Weatherly. She was the wife of the late John E. Stianche, who passed away April 2, 1993.

Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late Michael P. and Helen (Kumanchik) Gregus.

She was employed as a seamstress for many garment factories throughout the area until retiring.

Josephine was a former member of St. Jerome's Church, Tamaqua.

Surviving is a son-in-law, Barrie A. Pease of Birdsboro, PA; and siblings Marge Dirnberger of Rhode Island, Lou Gregus of Florida, Bernie Welsh of Delaware, and Irene Rehrig of Tamaqua.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ann Pease.

Service: Funeral services are private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Josephine's name to a or St. John XXIII Church in Tamaqua.

The Joseph S. Blazosky Funeral Home, Nesquehoning, has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
