Biography

Agnes Helen Negri, 91, of Coaldale, PA died on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 in Coaldale, PA. She was the wife of the late James Negri who died in 1974. Born in Coaldale on April 27, 1921, Agnes was a daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (nee Krajcovic) Blasko. A 1940 graduate of the former Coaldale High School, she was employed by former local garment factories, Van Heusen Company in Coaldale and Tami Sportswear in Tamaqua. Prior to its closing, Agnes was a member of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church where she belonged to the church Guild and the church Choir. She was a member of the Coaldale Legion and the Coaldale Rod & Gun Club and a Life Member of the Coaldale VFW. Surviving her are Nephews and Nieces. In addition to her husband and parents, brothers, Frank, Rudy, Dominic, and Edward Blasko and sisters, Mary Nylen and Velma Coster predeceased her. Services will be announced.
