Margaret R. (Vavro) Arner

Margaret "Margie" R. Arner, 81, of Coaldale, passed away on Nov. 26, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Bernard Arner. Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Mary (Vavro) Terry. She was a graduate of the former Coaldale High School. She worked for several local garment factories and at the Coaldale Rod & Gun Club and also Tommy's in Coaldale. Margie served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Summit Hill. She was a member of the Coaldale American Legion.

Surviving are two sons, Ed Arner of Coaldale and Joseph Arner of Nebraska; a daughter Trish Arner of Ohio; a granddaughter, Autumn Arner of Barnesville; a brother, William of Illinois and a sister, Jo Ann Taras and her husband Michael of Lansford. She was preceded in death by a son, David Arner.
