Obituary

Mrs. Marie C. Werley, 74, formerly of Warminster, Pa., died Monday, Nov. 19, in the South Jersey Regional Hospital, Vineland, N.J. She was the beloved wife of the late Rodney F. Werley for 44 years.

She was a devoted wife, mother and nana, who loved being with her family.

Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of Joseph and Marie (Hollywood) Balazovich.

She was a 1956 graduate of the former Coaldale High School and a 1957 graduate of the McCann School of Business, Pottsville.

She was a longtime volunteer at Doylestown Hospital and Graeme Park, Horsham.

Surviving are two daughters, Karen M., wife of Dave Chickanosky of New Braunfels, Tex., and Jennifer A. of Conshohocken; a son, Mark F., and his wife, Carrie, of Greenwich, N.J.; two sisters, Peggy Hain of Shermansdale and Ann (Tom) Tarsavage of New Cumberland; two grandchildren, Daniel J. Palmer and Finola E. Werley; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was also predeceased by a brother Joseph.

Service: Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Tamaqua, with the Rev. William Linkchorst officiating. Call 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday in the church.
