John Polischak, 74, Ex-kutztown U. Aide And Baseball Coach

John W. Polischak, 74, of Palm Coast, Fla., formerly of Reading, died May 11 in Palm Coast. He was the husband of the late Eugenia (Morozewicz) Polischak.
He was employed by Kutztown University for about 12 years before retiring in 1978 as director of housing. He jointed Kutztown in 1966 as dean of men, assistant professor of physical science and assistant football and baseball coach.
Polischak was named head baseball coach for the college's 1972 season after completing his 25th year of coaching baseball at the high school and college levels.
After graduating from Kutztown in 1939, where he lettered in football, basketball and baseball, he became a science teacher and an athletic director at Twin Valley High School in the Morgantown area, Berks County. He also coached basketball for 10 years and soccer and track for three years.
Polischak received his master's from Temple University.
He was a member of Mother Seton Church, Palm Coast.
Survivors: Daughters, Alina Zygmunt of Rockville, Md. and Felicia Louer of Newtown Square, Delaware County; sister, Mary Allinson of Boynton Beach, Fla., and three grandchildren.
Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Nov. 16, Wiesenberger Alumni Center at Kutztown University.
