Joseph J. Wye
Joseph J. Wye, 74, of New Ringgold, died on Wednesday, June 21, in St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Donna (Eltringham) Wye, to whom he was married 50 years.
Joseph served in the United States Air Force from 1962 to 1966 and worked for E.I. du Pont Nemours & Company in Wilmington, Delaware, for 31 years.
Born in Coaldale on July 22, 1942, Joseph was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Hrubovack) Wye.
A 1960 graduate of the former Coaldale High School, he earned an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State.
His hobbies were photography and gardening.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are: sister, Roseann Pavlick of Reading; brothers-in-law, Carl Eltringham and Thomas Eltringham and his wife, Arlene; as well as several nieces; a nephew; and great-nieces and greatnephews.
He was also predeceased by sisters Bernadette Mikulsky and Rita Wye.
Service: Mass of Christian Burial, 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, in SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 307 Pine St., Tamaqua. Interment with military honors, Sky View Memorial Park, Hometown.
