Robert D. Lore, husband, father and grandfather, 79, of East Ridge Street, Coaldale, died Saturday, July 26, in his home surrounded by family. He was the husband of Patricia (Wagner) Lore. They were married for 59 years. He was a mechanic in the textile industry and then worked as a security guard for local firms. Born in Tamaqua, he was a son of the late Robert H., and Hattie A. (Simmons) Lore. A graduate of the former Coaldale High School, he was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the West Penn Archery Club, Tamaqua Rifle & Pistol Club and Hill Top Sportsman Club. Surviving in addition to his widow are two daughters, Cherie Hadesty of Barnesville and Barbara, wife of Charles Wisbeck of Madison, Ala.; a son, Gene A., and his wife, Connie, of New Ringgold; a sister Margaret, wife of Robert Kravetz of Palmerton; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Denise O'Brien, who died on Aug. 4, 2003. Service: Memorial service 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, E.
