Mary A. (Paslawsky) Dirnberger Mary A. Dirnberger, 99, of Earley Avenue, Coaldale, died Tuesday in Coaldale. She was the widow of Paul A. Dirnberger, who died in 1995. Mary was an LPN and had worked at the former Coaldale State General Hospital for 25 1/2 years. Born in Coaldale on July 15, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Durich) Paslawsky. She graduated from the former Coaldale High School in 1937 and was a graduate of Smiths School of Practical Nursing in Hazleton in 1960. She was a member of St. John XXII Parish, Tamaqua, and a member of SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, Coaldale before its closing. She was a member of SS. Cyril's kitchen crew, the former VFW Auxiliary in Coaldale, the Lansford Golden Agers, a life member of the former Coaldale State Hospital Auxiliary. Mary was inducted into the Schuylkill County Voters Hall of Fame in 1996 having voted for 50 consecutive years. Surviving are sons, Dr. Thomas Dirnberger, and his wife, Eleanor, of West Penn Township, Paul Dirnberger, and his wife Marge, of Portsmouth, R.I.; granddaughters, Noelle Kiernan, and her husband Tim, of North Easton, Mass. and Kristen Ahlfeld, and her husband John, of Williamstown, N.J.; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Weist, and her husband Joseph, of LaPlata, MD. She was predeceased by sisters, Olga Yusko and Anna Bujnovsky; and brothers, Daniel and Joseph Paslawsky. Services: Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy, 10 a.m. Saturday, St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, Lansford, with the Rev. Dr. Vasyl Chepelskyy officiating. Interment, SS. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery, Nesquehoning. Call 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, in the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church.
