Michael Sachon, 87, of West Howard Avenue, Coaldale, died Sunday, May 17, in his home. He was the husband of Eleanor (Rabbas) Sachon. They were married for 63 years.He was a truck driver for Consolidated Freight before retiring in 1974.Born in Coaldale, he was a son of the late Alexander and Justina (Bischak) Sachon.A 1940 graduate of the former Coaldale High School, he was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.Sachon was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Tamaqua; the Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Club; N.R.A.; Berwick Boat Club; and the Lehigh Fish and Game Association. Surviving in addition to his widow are three sisters, Olga Tomasovich of Coaldale, Marge Koch of Wilmington, Del., and Dorothy Cheslak of Philadelphia; a grandchild, Shawn Sachon, and his wife, Donna, in South Carolina; two great-grandchildren, Jared and Katrina Sachon; a daughter-in-law, Jeanette Sachon Neuroth of New Ringgold; and nieces and nephews.He was also preceded in death by a son, the Rev.
