Sandra (Hrapsky) McGurrin of Walnutport passed away unexpectedly in her home on Thursday, August 11, 2005, at the young age of 60. Sandi was the daughter of Agnes (Starry) Hrapsky of Coaldale and the late Harry Hrapsky. She was born on October 2, 1944 in Chester. Sandi graduated from Coaldale High School in 1962 with high honors. She went on to attend Kutztown University, where she obtained her bachelors degree in secondary eduction in 1966. She then received her masters degree in teaching from Temple University in 1968. Sandi taught mathematics in the Allentown School District for more than 30 years where she was beloved by both her students and peers. After retiring from teaching in 1994, Sandi enjoyed spending time watching her daughter play sports, vacationing in the Bahamas, tutoring multiple students in algebra and volunteering faithfully at Hope Lutheran Church, Cherryville. Sandi had an amazing spirit and a true love of life. She was the best person her husband and daughter have ever known and she will be truly missed.
