Mrs. Rose C. Horwedel, 70, of Kinsman, OH., formerly of Avon, OH., died Friday (Aug. 27) at her home. She was the wife of Robert R. Horwedel. They were married for 48 years.

She worked for United Airlines for 20 years as a reservations specialist in Rocky River and Honolulu, Hawaii, retiring in 1989.

Born in Mahoning Township, she was a daughter of the late Valentine and Rosalia (Konecy) Janicek. She lived in Avon for many years before moving to Kinsman seven years ago.

She was a graduate of Coaldale High School.

Surviving with her husband are two sons, Robert A. of Ansbach, Germany, and David A. and his wife Kim, of Avon; two daughters, Nancy L., wife of Mark Pipas of Westlake Village, Calif., and Cheryl R. Horwedel of Portland, Ore.; four sisters, Elma Morana of Drums, Sarah Iacubucci of Rochester, N.Y., Stephanie Jasenak of Mansfield, and Bernadine Plocinik of Coaldale; and granddaughter.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Valentine; and a sister, Margaret Matula.

The Busch Funeral and Crematory Services, 32000 Detroit Road, Avon, Oh., is in charge of arrangements.
