Coaldale Native Debuts In New York City Play (1985)

John S. Rajnic, son of Mrs. Mary Rajnic and the late Stephen A. Rajnic of E. Phillips Street, Coaldale, will be appearing in a production of "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" in Queens, New York.

This show will mark Rajnic's acting debut in New York.

Local audiences remember him for his past Curtain Call Players productions, including the role of Snoopy in "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown.”

He also apprenticed a season at the Lakewood Musical Playhouse, Barnesville, in 1973, and appeared on "Godspell" at Guthsville Playhouse, Allentown.

Rajnic has studied acting at the Actor's Institute in New York City. He is a member of the Contemporary Dance Theatre Co. of New Jersey, where he is involved with performance and choreography.

The production runs until April 28.
