Eleanor P.(Shears) Billig

Eleanor P. "Tetta" Billig, of 212 W. High St., Coaldale, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, at Weatherwood Nurisng & Rehabilitation Center in Weatherly, at the age of 79.

Survived by her husband of 60 years, Howard James Billig; sister, Mrs. Ann Louise Colosimo of Shenandoah; nieces, nephews; and god-

children, whom she was so proud of.

She was predeceased by siblings, Michael Shears, Dorothy Shears, and Elias Shears.

A 1959 graduate of the former Coaldale High School, Eleanor was Russian Orthodox by faith.

Eleanor worked at the former Kiddie Kloes of Lansford.

She enjoyed baking, taking long rides with Howard, and both were ardent fans of the Panther Valley High School football team, attending most games. A music lover, Eleanor liked listening to Elvis and attending area shows. She was an animal lover and traveled extensively.

Born Saturday, March 18, 1939, in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late Alec and Anna (Zulick) Shears.

Service: Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 655 E. Broad St., Tamaqua.

Memorials in her name to: Carbon County Friends for Animals, 77 W. 13th St., Jim Thorpe, PA 18229; or an animal shelter of one's choice.
