Anna P. Cheplick



Mrs. Anna P. Cheplick, 95, formerly of Coaldale, died Tuesday, June 28, in Mahoning Township. She was the widow of Peter Cheplick, who died in 1973.

Prior to retiring, she was employed by the former Phillip and Jones Factory, Coaldale.

Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late Sylvester and Anna (Beneck) Polonsky.

She was a member of the former St. John Lithuanian Catholic Church, Coaldale, where she sang in the choir

A 1934 graduate of the former Coaldale High School, she was a member of the Tamaqua Senior Citizens and the Panther Valley Golden Agers, and had volunteered at the former Coaldale State Hospital.

Surviving are two sons, Peter G., and his wife, Joy, of Bethlehem, and Robert D., and his wife, Gina, of Claremont, Fla.; four grandchildren, Peter and Kevin Cheplick, Dennis Cheplick and Denise Joseph; five great-grandchildren, Natalie and Sarah Cheplick, Jackson and Nicholas Cheplick and Ariella Joseph.; and a sister, Stef Shuman of Niagara Falls, Canada.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Duffy.

Service: Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church, Lansford, with the Rev. Kenneth Medve officiating. Interment, Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown.
