Obituary

Adele A. (Korsak) Malloy, 92, of York, entered into rest on Thursday morning, Aug. 30, 2012, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Thomas J. Malloy.

She was born Dec. 27, 1919, in Coaldale, the daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Weiksner) Korsak.

Adele was a 1937 graduate of Coaldale High School.

In 1961 she moved to York. She was the owner of Malloy Hotel and later owned Findley Fabrics Corner.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Catholic Women's Club, Holy Name Society.

Adele enjoyed family activities, camping, traveling, gardening, sewing, and playing bridge.

She is survived by six children: Patricia A. Reinbold, and husband Richard, of Allentown, Barbara A. Paules, and husband Jerald, of Chandler, AZ, Thomas J. Malloy of York, Terrance J. Malloy, and wife Sarah, of York, Kathleen A. Malloy of York, and Maureen A. Wesner of York, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by six siblings: Edward Korsak, John Korsak, Joseph Korsak, Helen Porvaznik, Mary Korsak, and Ann Schlegel.

Service: A viewing will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at the John W. Keffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 902 Mt. Rose Ave., York; a second viewing will be 1-2 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2935 Kingston Rd., York, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
