Obituary:Donald A, Popik, CHS Class of 1961
Donald A. Popik, 73, of Wescosville, passed away Sunday,
February 12, 2017, at the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh
Valley Hospital, Allentown. Born May 16, 1943 in Coaldale,
PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Goida)
Popik. He was a 1961 graduate of Coaldale High School
and worked for Consolidated Freightways for 38 years
until his retirement. Survivors: He is survived by his
former wife and caretaker, Joanne Popik with whom he
resided, sons, Christopher and companion Diana of Nazareth
and David of Philadelphia, sister, Carol Ann and husband
Michael Machain of Bethlehem, brother, Robert and his wife
Carol of Lakeland, FL, and Nieces and Nephews. He was
predeceased by wife, Mearl (Morris) Popik, brothers,
Joseph and William and sister-in-law, Patricia. Services:
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 16,
2017 at 11 A.M. in the J. S. Burkholder Funeral Home, 16th
and Hamilton Sts. Allentown. A calling hour will be held
on Thursday, from 10 A.M. to11 A.M. in the funeral home.
