William J. Haberchak

William J. Haberchak, 70, of White Haven, Pa. passed away Tuesday in Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Coaldale, Pa. on 4 Feb., 1936 he was the son of the late John "Barney" & Esther (Griffiths) Haburchak.

(please note parents spelled name "Haburchak")

He was a graduate of Coaldale High class of 1953.

An AIA Certified architect, he ran his own business which he managed even during his illness.

William was a member of Lodge 467 F & AM White Haven, Lehigh Consistory Allentown (where he was a 33 Degree), Irem Temple and Royal Order of Jesters Wilkes-Barre and also York Rite .

A talented Clarinet and Saxophone player, he played in the Dorsey Brothers Orchestra and was a member of the "Shoreliners" whose Columbia Label release "Uni Man Polka" was popular throughout the coal regions in the 1950's.

Along with his parents he was preceded by his wife Jane (Spaide) Haberchak in 1996 and a sister Mary Haberchak.

Surviving are his son William of Port Charlotte, FL

Daughters; Mary Washousky of Andrewsville (Summit Hill) , Pa.

Tracey Delpero of Allentown, Pa.

Former wife Shirley (Turner) Moravek of Summit Hill, PA.

Many grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.

Services will be held Saturday at 11 Am at the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home Weatherly.

Rev Donald J. Stump Sr. will officiate.

Burial will be in Sky-View Memorial Park Tamaqua.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday 7 to 9 PM

Masonic Service 7:30 PM Friday.
