Martha Ann (Machay) Malaska

Obituary

Mrs. Martha Ann Malaska, 67, of East Water Street, Coaldale, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, in Bethlehem. She was the wife of Anthony M. Malaska.

She was a fulltime wife, mother and grandmother and was also a licensed beautician, having formerly operated a shop in Coaldale.

Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Helen (Washousky) Machay.

She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Lansford.

The deceased was a 1962 graduate of the former Coaldale High School and also graduated from the Empire Beauty School, Hazleton.

She was an avid gardener.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Anthony A., and his wife, Tracy L., and Gregory D., and his wife, Mary Kay, both of Jim Thorpe; and three granddaughters, Leah Danielle, Maura Katherine and Hailey Ann.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Louise McDonald.
