William "Cubsy" Zwiesdak, 61, of 118 E. White St., Summit Hill, died Tuesday in his home.

He worked for J.E. Morgan Knitting Mills, Hometown, Tamaqua R.2. Previously, he was employed by the former Quartite Manufacturing, Nesquehoning.

Born in Coaldale, he was a son of the late Andrew and Susan (Rudy) Zwiesdak.

He was affiliated with the Summit Hill United Methodist Church.

He was a 1961 graduate of Coaldale High School.

Zwiesdak was an Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post 316, Summit Hill, and the Coaldale Rod & Gun Club.

He was long active in recreational programs in Summit Hill, specifically the Summit Hill Little League Association, where he was a coach for 30 years and held various offices, including vice president. He also formerly coached for the Summit Hill Knee High Football and the Summit Hill Babe Ruth Baseball teams, and coached the Coaldale Little League.

Surviving are two brothers, his twin, Jack, and his wife Daune, with whom he resided, and Andrew, of Lansford; a nephew, a niece and grand-nephew.
