Bucks County Courier Times Wayne Marek Wayne Marek (64) died on Monday, May 28th while he and his wife Deb were visiting friends in Dimock, Pa. Wayne was born on December 18, 1942 in Coaldale, Pa., where he was raised. He attended Penn State University, earned a B.S. at Bloomsburg State Teachers College and earned a Masters in Math Ed at Rutgers University. He taught high school mathematics in Bristol Township School District for 30 years and was an adjunct professor at Bucks County Community College for ten years. He and Deb retired to Bloomsburg in 1999, where he served as a member of the Bloomsburg Town Planning Commission. He was a quiet, droll, well-loved member of a wide community of friends. Wayne enjoyed golf, gardening, and entertaining friends in his home. In death, he is reunited with his children Janette M. Geneski and Chad Marek and his father Paul Marek. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Deborah Evans Marek, his mother Ellen Marek, his brothers Paul and Daryl Marek and their families. A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Bloomsburg on Monday, June 4th at 11:00 a.m. The service will be followed by a light buffet lunch in the church's social hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Bloomsburg University Foundation, 400 E. Second St., Bloomsburg, Pa. 17815 with the notation Marek Math Scholarship.
