Mrs. Ann (Sobolowsky) Trush passed away on Wednesday, May 13, in the Residence at Glen Riddle. She was the widow of William Joseph Trush, who died in 2004. They had been married for 55 years.
She started her career with the Signal Corp. in Philadelphia and became a district manager with the Field Enterprises Corp. (World Book). She worked for the U.S. Post Office in its Inspection Services Department before retiring in 1984.
Born in Coaldale, she was very involved with her church, St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Chester, where she taught Sunday school for 32 years.
She and her husband traveled extensively after retirement. She loved her beautiful home, gardening, photography and reading.
Surviving are a son, William J. of McKinleyville, CA; two daughters, Joan Shockley of Virginia Beach, VA, and Arlene Boles of Media, PA; a daughter-in-law, Sheri Woo; two grandchildren, Sadie and Franklin; and two sisters Marie Polansky of Jupiter, FL, and Sonya Gerhard of Northampton.
Service: Funeral service 10 a.m. Monday, St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Third and Ward streets, Chester. Interment, Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA. Call after 7 p.m. Sunday and after 8 a.m. Monday, Kaniefski-Kendus-D'Anjolell Memorial Home, 3900 W. Ninth St., Trainer, PA. Parastas service 7:45 p.m. Sunday.
