Stanley J. Laskos

Stanley J. Laskos, 66, of Sugarloaf, formerly of Coaldale, died Tuesday (March21) in the Hazleton General Hospital. He was the husband of Paulette (Zak) Laskos.

He had been employed at PPL's Berwick Nuclear Plant as a scheduling supervisor. Previously, after being granted a nuclear plant operator's license from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, he had been employed as a nuclear plant operator at the Berwick facility and at Public Service and Gas in New Jersey.

Born in Coaldale, he was a son of Geraldine (Mock) Laskos of Weatherly and the late Joseph Laskos.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

A 1957 graduate of the former Coaldale High School, he was a member of the American Legion Post, Coaldale, and also belonged to the AMVETS organization.

Surviving in addition to his widow and mother are a son Paul, and his wife, Ada, of Torino, Italy; two daughters, Leslie, wife of William Syrett of Boalsburg, and Carrie, wife of Anthony Russo of Reading; a sister Beverly, wife of James Boyce of Tamaqua; and six grandchildren.

The Zizelmann-Roche Funeral Home, 500 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, is in charge of the arrangements.
