Mrs. Ilene King

Mrs. Ilene King, 83, formerly of Coaldale, died Sunday in the Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Coopersburg. She was the widow of Peter King, who died in March of 2007.

Prior to retiring, she had been employed in the local garment industry.

Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Eva (Shears) Polansky

She was a member of St. Mary's Russan Orthodox Church, Coaldale, and graduated from the former Coaldale High School in 1942.

Surviving are two stepsons, Peter D. King of Slatington and Nicholas King and his wife, Pat, of Bear, Del.; a stepdaughter, Nancy, wife of Bruce Wetzel of Plains, Luzerne County; a brother, Carl and his wife Jean of Landisville, L:ancaster County; a sister, Katherine, wife of Joseph Brill of Canadensis; step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

The August M. Gulla Funeral Home, 130 E. Ridge St., Coaldale, is in charge of arrangements.
