Sylvia M. Hamscher Sylvia M. Hamscher, 73, of Emmaus, died January 18, 2011 in her residence. She was the widow of the late Gerald L. Hamscher. Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late George C. and Elsie S. (Morgan) Molotzak. After graduating from beautician school, she worked as a beautician for the former Zollingers and also managed the refreshment stand at Emmaus Community Park. She was a nurses aide for Cedarbrook for 35 years, retiring in 2005. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Emmaus and the Mercantile Club of Emmaus.Survivors: Sons, Mark E. Hamscher of Emmaus, Bruce E. Hamscher and wife Janice of Erie, and Joel E. Hamscher and partner Paul Brown of Thousand Oaks, CA; Daughter, Jennifer M. Hamscher of Lancaster, CA; Sisters, Dolores wife of Bob Guertin of Jamestown, NC and Carole wife of Richard Peters of Allentown; Grandchildren, Daniel, Amy, Sarah, Janelle, Eric, Morgan, Jared, and Montana; Great Grandchildren, Athena and Veona.
