Anna H. (Polansky) Ardos
Mrs. Anna H. Ardos, 94, of Parkville, Md., formerly of Coaldale, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, in the Morning Side House Assisted Living Facility, Parkville. She was the widow of John J. Ardos, who died in 1948. Prior to retiring, she was a seamstress in the textile industry. Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Martha (Hamersky) Polansky. She was a member of St. Mary Orthodox Church, Coaldale. The deceased was a graduate of the former Coaldale High School. She had a passion for gardening and traveling. Surviving are two daughters, Martha Ann, wife of Dr. Thomas Zizic of Baltimore, Md., and Beverly Ann, wife of Ken Fredericks of Cranbury, N.J.; a brother Andrew of Williamsburg, Va.; four grandchildren, Dr. Tycho K. Fredericks, and his wife, Gail, Kendra Lee, wife of John Smith, Lara A. Zizic, and her husband, David Turner, and Kristine M. Zizic, and her husband, Matthew Murphy; and seven great-grandchildren, Dakota Smith, Gunnar Fredericks, Sienna Smith, Jack Fredericks, Ainsley Smith, Max Murphy and Samuel Murphy. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, William and Stephen "Muffy," and two sisters, Nancy Cannon. and Mary Keniston. Service: Parastas service 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 13, Holmes-Griffiths Funeral Home, 200 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, with the Rev. Daniel Mathewson officiating. Interment, St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Summit Hill. Call 2-4 p.m. Sunday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday.
