Daniel Luksavage, 78, 123 Broad St., Beaver Meadows, formerly of High Street, Coaldale, died Sunday in the Hazleton General Hospital. Prior to retiring in 1992, he had been employed in the coal mining industry, last working at LCandN, Tamaqua. Born in Coaldale, he was a son of the late Matthew and Stella (Dubinsky) Luksavage. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Lithuanian Catholic Church, Coaldale. He attended the former Coaldale High School and was a former member of the Alentown Happy Boombadeers Club and the Coaldale Lithuanian Club. The last immediate member of his family, he was preceded in death by his long time companion, Elizabeth 'Betty" Prokopick, who died in 2003; a sister, Jennie Patochek; and a brother, William. The August M. Gulla Funerall Home, 130 E. Ridge St., Coaldale, is in charge of arrangements.
