Mrs. Christine Heffelfinger, 47, of Water Street, Coaldale, died Saturday, April 14, in her home and in the care of her family. She was the wife of Kenny Heffelfinger. They were married for 18 years.
She last worked for Kistler Transportation, New Ringgold, and previously was employed by the former Fun Time Textile, Lansford, until it closed.
Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late Vincent J. Sweeney, who died March 30, 2012, and the late Dorothy (Dally) Sweeney, who died May 30, 2008.
She attended Panther Valley schools.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, William, and his wife, Caitlyn, of Virginia Beach, Va., Kenneth, and his companion, Mary Ditzler, of St. Clair, and Brian, and his companion, Tammy Maurer, of Mahanoy City; three sisters, Charlotte K., wife of Harry Murphy, Georgine, wife of Peter Jungbaer, and Joan Marie, wife of Joseph Hodon, all of Coaldale; two brothers, Vincent J., and his wife, Bernice, and Robert W., and his wife, Chrissy, both of Nesquehoning; six grandchildren and aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, 655 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, with the Rev. William Linkchorst officiating. Interment, Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown. Call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday.
