Margaret Kodlick

Margaret (Prekopa) Kodlick, 88, of Whitehall, died Sunday, April 8, 2007, at Fellowship Manor in Whitehall. Margaret was a member of St. John Slovak Lutheran Church, 1 East Abbott Street, Lansford. She was a Coaldale High School graduate. Margaret worked as an assistant buyer for the former Brights Dept. Stores in Lansford, and Lehighton, from the late 1950s to late 1970s. Margaret was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the West Penn Rod and Gun Club. Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late John Prekopa and the late Mary (Gabriel) Prekopa. Survivors: Husband, Joseph Kodlick of Northampton; daughter, Mrs. Karen Drake, wife of Jeff of Whitehall; sisters, Mary Kodlick of Macungie, Mrs. Evelyn Caputo of Lansford, Mrs. Ann Jones of Coaldale; grandchildren, Jason Tereska and wife Melody, Todd Tereska and wife Cindy, great-grandchildren, Zachary, Shantel, Noah, Malachi, Caleb, Caleya, Brylee; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brother, John Prekopa, sister, Irene Kissinger, and grandson, R. Tyler Kodlick. Services: Rite of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 12, 2007, at St. John Slovak Lutheran Church, 1 East Abbott St., Lansford. Rev. Marjorie Keiter officiating. Calling hours from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2007 and from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment in the church cemetery, Summit Hill.
