Ruth (Barron) O'Donnell

Ruth (Barron) O'Donnell, 64, of 327½Arlington St., Tamaqua, died Friday November 2) at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of Walter J. O'Donnell Sr. They were married for 44 years.

Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. Barron and the late Violet L. (Bylone) Barron.

She worked for Acme Markets and was a sewer for various textile mills throughout the Tamaqua area.

She was a 1960 graduate of the former Coaldale High School.

She was avid in the women's bowling league.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Sandy L. (O'Donnell)_ Dunstan of Tamaqua; a son, Walter J. O'Donnell Jr. and his wife Diane of

New Ringgold; two brothers, Charles Barron and his wife Jessica of Nesquehoning and William Barron and his wife Carol of Nesquehoning; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Brian Scott O'Donnell, and a sister, Mary Ann Blaner.

The E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, 655 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
