John B. Stanalis

John B. Stanalis, 92, of 230 W. Howard Ave., Coaldale, died Wednesday (July 19) in St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale. He was the husband of Anna (Hudasky) Stanalis. They were married for 64 years.

He was a machinist for the former Bundy Tubing Co., Hometown, for 29 years.

A son of the late George Stanalis and Elizabeth (Galanis) Stanalis, he was a 1931 graduate of the former Coaldale High School and served as a medic in the Army during World War II.

He was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Coaldale.

An avid outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman, Stanalis was a member of the American Legion Post and Lithuanian Club, both of Coaldale.

Surviving in addition to his widow are two daughters, Elizabeth Ann, wife of Michael J. Panchura of Sterling, Va., and Susan Ann, wife of Frank J. Bydlon of North Conway, N.H.; a sister, Julianna Wells of Los Angeles, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Anita Yescavage.
