65 Children Participated In Coaldale Mini-Olympics

Sixty-five children aged 2 to 13 participated in the Coaldale Mini-Olympics last week at the Coaldale Complex field. The event was sponsored by Coaldale's CHOSE and the Tamaqua Area Jaycees.
Medal winners for girls aged 4-5 were Dorothy Ann Terray, Meredith Bernadyn and Carley Rickert; girls 6-7 winners were Becky Lukov, Alona Zahora and Christina McCarroll; 8-9, Colleen Boran, Laura Gnall and Jamie Schock; 10-11, Kathryn Kresge, Jessica Gunuc and Regena Brossman; 12-13, Amy DePuy and Kristin Richert.
Winners in the boys divisions were, ageds 4-5, Zachary Midas, Charlie McAvoy and Devon Greig; 6-7, Zachary Kattner, Michael Belafino and John Uher; 8-9, Jeffrey Lech, Brandon Shippers and Ryan Hnat; 10-11, Tim Matula, Charles DePuy and Jerry Lich; 12-13, Steven Gelatho, Corey Meuller and Kyle Hnat.
Winners in the tots Olympics were John Kubick, Stephen Petrock, Ashley Hazlett, Jonathan McHugh and Shawn McCarroll.
The children participated in running, jumping and tossing events.
